Ask for transparent line-item pricing and clear definitions of chargeable events (rework, cancellations, returns). Include SLAs for assembly accuracy and lead times. Where possible, define sample approvals and change-order processes to avoid repeated SKU setup fees. If kits are part of a broader fulfillment agreement, consider a blended rate for simplicity but request periodic audits to confirm fair allocation.
