Data Model And PIM Configuration
Start in your Product Information Management (PIM) system by creating one parent record per product family. Define variant axes (for example, Size and Color) and create child SKUs for every valid combination. Store shared attributes at the parent and child-specific attributes at the child level. Use attribute validation rules and controlled lists to avoid typos that break mapping to marketplaces.
