Multi-channel fulfillment — selling through your own website, marketplaces, retail partners, and wholesale accounts — complicates allocation because the same SKU must be balanced across channels with different margins, SLAs, and return profiles. Optimizing allocation for this environment reduces stockouts, avoids overselling, and preserves service levels where they matter most.


Common Multi-Channel Challenges

Channels compete for the same pool of inventory. Marketplaces may require fast shipping while wholesale customers expect larger, scheduled shipments. Returns and cancellations differ by channel and affect available on-hand inventory unpredictably.
