Always follow load containment rules, use required protective materials, and enforce maximum stack heights for both methods to mitigate risk.
Lead Time And Throughput Impact
When shipping windows are tight, reconfiguration is often the only viable option because it’s faster. However, repeated reconfiguration for the same SKU or destination increases cumulative labor and disrupts flow. If a destination or customer frequently rejects pallet builds, consider redesigning standard pack instructions or switching to repalletization for those SKUs to stabilize downstream operations.
