Barcode placement conventions differ: polybags need consistent sticker locations for scanning; shrink-wrapped bundles may require external labels applied after wrapping. Marketplaces and carriers sometimes specify packaging formats—know those rules before choosing. Also consider sustainability claims; recyclable polybags and stretch film options are available but require local recycling infrastructure to realize environmental benefits.

A consumer electronics distributor ships phone cases individually in static-dissipative polybags with printed SKU codes to preserve product quality and support returns. In contrast, the same distributor ships accessories in grouped sets—three cases together—using shrink wrap to form a single retail-ready multi-pack and speed shelf restocking at retail partners.
