Labor Cost Per Order is the average amount of labor expense required to process a single customer order in a warehouse or fulfillment operation. It includes direct wages, benefits, payroll taxes and allocated labor-related overhead for a given period divided by the number of orders processed, and is used to measure workforce efficiency and control fulfillment costs.
