System Latency

System Latency is the delay between a user action or device input and the Warehouse Management System's response, typically measured in milliseconds to seconds. High latency slows order processing, inventory updates, scanning and integrations—reducing throughput and accuracy—and is usually addressed by optimizing network performance, servers, databases and software architecture.
