This integration translates subscription events (new signups, skips, pauses, address updates, cancellations, and payment retries) from Skio into actionable tasks for a warehouse management system (WMS), order management system (OMS), or a 3PL’s operations workflow so recurring shipments are created, picked, packed, and shipped correctly and on time.


At its core the integration maps subscription lifecycle data to fulfillment actions and keeps status synchronized between merchant, subscriber, and fulfillment partner. That includes converting a subscription renewal into a pickable order, applying product-level rules (bundles, replacements, sample inserts), routing orders to correct warehouses, and sending shipment/tracking updates back to Skio so customers receive accurate communications.

A DTC coffee brand uses Skio for subscriptions. On renewal, Skio sends a webhook to the brand’s middleware. The middleware checks inventory across two warehouses, reserves beans at Warehouse A, creates a pick/pack order in the WMS for that location, and schedules a carrier pickup. When the WMS confirms the shipment and provides tracking, middleware updates Skio so the customer receives shipment notifications and the subscription account reflects completion.
