AFS Logistics Named Among America’s Most Loved Workplaces
AFS Logistics, a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider, has been recognized as one of America’s top 200 Most Loved Workplaces® by Newsweek. This recognition highlights companies that prioritize respect, caring, and appreciation for their employees, earning loyalty and respect in return. The list is developed annually by Most Loved Workplace®, a division of the Best Practice Institute (BPI).
Commitment to Ethics and Transparency
AFS Logistics earned its place on the Most Loved Workplaces® list due to its dedication to ethical practices, transparency, and open communication. The company’s collaborative atmosphere fosters strong employee relationships, allowing staff to work seamlessly across departments and tackle challenges together.
“We don't just talk about our core values; we live them every day,” said Sharmen Pennington, Vice President of Human Resources at AFS Logistics. “Our inclusion on this prestigious list is a reflection of the culture of respect and mutual support, not only making AFS a place where our team members genuinely want to work, but it also shines through in our level of respect and commitment to our clients.”
A Rigorous Evaluation Process
The list of the top 200 Most Loved Workplaces® is based on data from the Love of Workplace Index®, created through a collaboration between Newsweek and the Best Practice Institute. The evaluation involves interviews with company officials, data from online employee ratings, and survey results from over 2.6 million employees. Key factors assessed include collaboration, innovation, leadership trust, and a sense of belonging in the workplace.
Nancy Cooper, Global Editor in Chief of Newsweek, praised the increasing commitment of companies to creating positive work environments. “It's inspiring to see the list expand this year to 200 companies, a clear indication that organizations are truly committed to creating workplaces where employees feel valued and connected. We're thrilled to celebrate their achievements as this recognition continues to grow,” she said.
Scoring Criteria for the Top 200 List
The evaluation process to identify the top 200 companies relied on several factors:
- Employee Responses (50%): Direct feedback from employees through BPI’s Love of Workplace Index® assessment.
- Company Interviews (35%): Insights from BPI’s interviews and written responses from company officials.
- External Ratings (15%): Analysis of ratings on platforms like Comparably, Careerbliss, Glassdoor, Indeed, and Google.
