AUTODOC Accelerates Logistics with TGW’s FlashPick Automation in Czech Republic

European auto parts giant AUTODOC is supercharging its logistics operations with a powerful automation upgrade from Austrian intralogistics specialist TGW Logistics. The collaboration will transform an existing facility in Cheb into a cutting-edge automated distribution center, with a capacity to handle up to 50,000 orders per day—equivalent to the output of three current AUTODOC locations combined.

From Berlin Startup to European Leader

Founded in Berlin in 2008, AUTODOC has grown into one of Europe's premier e-commerce platforms for car, truck, and motorcycle parts and accessories. The company now operates in 27 countries, employs 6,000 people, and recorded €1.6 billion in revenue in 2024. With this latest move, AUTODOC is positioning itself for even greater scalability, efficiency, and sustainability in its supply chain.

FlashPick System Enables Goods-to-Person Efficiency

The Cheb facility will be powered by TGW's flagship FlashPick system, a modular Goods-to-Person solution known for its speed and flexibility. It will include:

• Over 200,000 storage locations in an automated shuttle warehouse
• 200 robotic shuttles managing storage and retrieval
• 16 ergonomic PickCenter workstations
• 3.1 miles of KingDrive® conveyor technology
• Automated packaging robots to streamline shipping

Energy Savings and Minimal Footprint

Beyond performance, the project emphasizes sustainability. By refurbishing an existing building instead of constructing a new one, AUTODOC minimizes its environmental footprint. The automation also enables energy reductions and smarter packaging that cuts down on carton use.
