New Facility Announcement
This new development, created in partnership with Yukon Real Estate Partners and BGO, will feature a rail-served, 291,000 square foot warehouse equipped with Alta EXPERT refrigeration technology. The facility is expected to commence operations in the third quarter of 2025.
Connection to Upfield
The warehouse will be directly connected to Upfield’s New Century production plant via an above-ground conveyor bridge, facilitating the seamless transfer of finished products into the storage facility. Upfield, a renowned producer of plant-based foods with brands like Country Crock® and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter®, is set to benefit significantly from this new logistical arrangement.
Available Space
The facility will offer 100,000 square feet of available space for other customers seeking cold storage solutions. Located less than four miles from Interstate 35 and 11 miles from the BNSF Railway transcontinental line intermodal facility, the warehouse is strategically positioned to optimize transportation throughout the Midwest. The direct rail spur into the warehouse is anticipated to yield substantial logistics cost savings, reduce environmental emissions, and enhance shipping efficiency for both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Expansion and Strategy
CJ Logistics America continues to expand its footprint in the frozen and refrigerated food market, following the earlier announcement of a new cold storage warehouse in Gainesville, Georgia. This expansion is part of the company's broader strategy to enhance its capabilities and strengthen its position as a premier supply chain and logistics partner.
Sustainability and Efficiency
The project also aligns with Upfield’s sustainability goals, offering streamlined U.S. supply chain operations and reduced carbon footprint due to lower truck traffic. The collaboration between CJ Logistics, Yukon Real Estate Partners, and BGO underscores a commitment to innovation and efficiency in logistics and transportation solutions.
