  • DeliverZen Shares Real-World Advice on Omnichannel Fulfillment at SubSummit

At this year’s SubSummit in Dallas, Racklify caught up with Drew Horner, co-founder of Deliverzen, to talk about one of the biggest challenges ecommerce brands face today: omnichannel fulfillment. The conversation shed light on what it means, how to get it right, and how the right 3PL partner can help brands scale faster without sacrificing control.

    What is Omnichannel Fulfillment?

Omnichannel fulfillment is the process of unifying fulfillment operations across multiple sales channels—such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon FBA, FBM, Nordstrom, Ulta, Sephora, GNC and others—into a single fulfillment operation. Instead of siloed inventory or disconnected systems, brands use one centralized channel to handle all fulfillment activity.

Drew described it simply: “Omnichannel fulfillment means bringing all of your sales sources into one fulfillment engine, keeping things streamlined and simple.”

    The Case for Centralized Fulfillment

During the conversation, Drew emphasized the value of starting with single-site fulfillment—a strategy Deliverzen often recommends for scaling brands. By centralizing inventory in one U.S.-based facility, brands can reduce costs, improve control, and better manage inventory velocity.

Deliverzen’s client Divi offers a clear example. After struggling with a 3PL that couldn’t support their growth, Divi switched to Deliverzen and scaled from $20M to $75M in just 18 months, powered by better systems, FDA-registered space, and retail-ready operations.

    Technology and Transparency Drive Results

One of Deliverzen’s biggest strengths lies in its use of modern technology. The company partners with ShipHero to enable real-time order sync (with API calls every 1–3 minutes) and provides clients access to Octup, a data dashboard that offers inventory financials, ad spend visibility, and invoice reconciliation.

Deliverzen provides Octup free of charge to its clients, giving ecommerce brands insights into how much inventory is sitting in each warehouse, how much is being spent, and how their fulfillment performance stacks up against SLAs.

    Control, Visibility, and Trust

Inventory management and cycle count accuracy are top priorities for Deliverzen. Customers get real-time access to fulfillment metrics—from SLA performance (such as meeting a 1 p.m. daily ship window) to receiving and packaging transparency. Deliverzen also conducts weekly forecasting calls with clients and supports high-stakes moments like QVC flash sales and Good Morning America features.

According to Drew, “Fulfillment starts at checkout and ends when your customer opens the door. If your 3PL isn’t helping you manage that entire experience—and showing you exactly what’s happening at every step—you’re missing out.”
