Ecommerce Sellers: Real-Time Tools and Tips to Crush Prime Day 2025
HotNotes
  • Monitor key metrics in real time using Seller Central, Brand Analytics, and third-party dashboards like Glew and Jungle Scout.
  • Automate pricing with tools like Repricer.com and BQool to stay competitive in the Buy Box without constant oversight.
  • Maximize ad ROI using Amazon’s Budget Rules and Dynamic Bidding, while managing stock levels with SoStocked or InventoryLab.
  • Real-Time Monitoring and Key Metrics

    Track hourly metrics.

Starting July 8, 2025, every hour counts. Use Amazon Seller Central’s dashboards (Business Reports and Brand Analytics for brand-registered sellers) to watch performance metrics in real time. Monitor your hourly sales, sessions, conversion rate, and Buy Box win rate on Seller Central. Amazon’s Prime Day guide even recommends “monitor and adjust strategies in real time as Prime Day unfolds,” including tracking units sold, ROAS, conversion, and Buy Box win-rate. High sales velocity and Buy Box percentage will boost your rankings, so watch those closely. Tools like Amazon Brand Analytics can reveal trending search terms and competitor insights to tweak listings or ads.

Beyond Seller Central, consider third-party dashboards or unified analytics tools that pull data from multiple sources (Marketplace, ads, and inventory). For example, unified reporting platforms like Glew or data warehouses can aggregate sales, ad performance, and inventory into a single view. Even if you stick with Seller Central, check Seller Central’s Deals Dashboard for status updates on any Lightning Deals or Prime-exclusive discounts – it will show if deals are in “Upcoming,” “Under Review,” or even “Suppressed” status. Once deals go live, keep monitoring pricing and stock levels right in the deals tool. Amazon’s help docs likewise advise keeping a close eye on price and quantity once a Prime Day deal is active.

    • Tools: Amazon Seller Central (Business Reports, Brand Analytics, Deals Dashboard) for live metrics. Consider linking dashboards in Helium 10 or Jungle Scout to streamline viewing.

    Dynamic Pricing Strategies

Use repricers and Min/Max rules. Prime Day’s pressure means prices change rapidly. Smart repricing is essential. Set minimum and maximum prices in a repricer tool (so you never sell below cost or above market tolerance) and let it match the Buy Box price automatically. For example, BQool and Repricer.com note that automated repricers can update your prices around the clock based on competitor activity. This keeps you in the Buy Box and competitive without having to manually watch every ASIN. Maintaining a high Buy Box win percentage is crucial, since about 90% of sales go through the Buy Box.

During the event, a good tactic is to add a small premium or discount depending on performance. If an ASIN is flying off shelves, you might raise prices slightly to protect margins. If items aren’t selling as fast as expected, consider a quick drop (within your allowable floor) to boost velocity. Automated repricing tools like BQool, Repricer.com, or ChannelMAX Repricer can be configured to do this based on inventory levels or competitor prices.

    • Tools: Try repricing software (e.g. Repricer.com, BQool, ChannelMAX Repricer) which allow you to set Min/Max and custom rules. Amazon’s own “Manage Pricing” (if available) can auto-match the Buy Box, but third-party repricers offer more flexibility. Use Keepa or SellerAmp to check recent price history and set safe ceilings.

    Advertising Optimization

With Prime Day traffic surging, optimizing ads in real time is key. First, inflate your budget and bids where it matters. Amazon recommends doubling (or more) your regular budgets in advance so you don’t run out mid-day. Use Budget Rules in the Amazon Ads Console to auto-increase budgets at specific times (e.g. morning and evening peaks).

Also reallocate spend to top performers: if one campaign or keyword has been driving good sales, shift extra budget and higher bids to it as the day goes on. Conversely, pause or lower bids on underperforming ads. Check your ACOS and ROAS hourly. Amazon advises using Dynamic Bidding (up and down) so bids can adjust in real time when clicks are more likely to convert.

Don’t forget ad formats beyond Sponsored Products: if you have a Brand Store, drive traffic with Sponsored Brands or Sponsored Display video. Leverage any theme-based campaigns by increasing bids around their scheduled drop times.

    • Tools: Amazon Ads Console with Budget Rules and automated bidding. Third-party PPC managers like Adtomic or AdBadger can automate bid changes and dayparting. Use Amazon’s Search Query Performance report or ad reports to identify converting keywords and adjust in real time.

    Inventory and Fulfillment

Never run out of best-sellers on Prime Day. Check your IPI and Restock Reports before and during the event. Amazon’s Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score indicates how well you’re managing stock. Ensure your top ASINs arrived early to the warehouse and, if needed, use Fulfilled By Merchant (FBM) or Amazon’s new FBA Emergency Replenishment option if FBA supply is low.

Monitor your sell-through and available quantity every few hours. The FBA Sell-Through Rate is updated daily, but low inventory warnings can trigger more immediate action. If an item is nearing stockout, consider raising its price or promoting it with urgency.

Likewise, watch your slow-moving SKUs: clear space for hot items. Amazon suggests moving stale inventory through Amazon Outlet.

After launching any sale or deal, check inventory remaining through the Restock Inventory Dashboard. Tools like SoStocked, InventoryLab, or RestockPro offer real-time alerts when inventory dips below a set threshold.

    • Tools: Amazon Inventory Dashboard and Restock Reports. For long-term planning, try SoStocked or Forecastly for demand planning and warehouse distribution.

Successful Prime Day management relies on the right tools. Alongside Amazon’s built-in features, consider:

By combining real-time data from Amazon’s own dashboards with smart automation tools, you’ll be able to adapt your store on the fly.
