Genebre, a global leader in high-quality valves and fittings for fluid control, has partnered with TGW Logistics to transform its distribution operations through advanced warehouse automation. The new system, implemented at Genebre’s logistics center in Hospitalet de Llobregat, enhances speed, ergonomics, and long-term scalability.

    Revolutionizing Order Fulfillment with Automation

At the heart of the upgrade is a three-aisle automated mini-load warehouse, powered by TGW’s Mustang E+ storage and retrieval machines. This system feeds orders to ergonomic workstations, where operators prepare shipments for dispatch. Once completed, boxes are directed to a robotic palletizing system for seamless handling.

The solution enables Genebre to automate over 50% of its order processing, significantly improving efficiency, space utilization, and employee working conditions.

Advanced Gantry Robot Enhances Picking Accuracy

A key feature of the automation is TGW’s gantry robot, which handles five different box sizes (up to 25 kg each) and executes up to 170 cycles per hour. Capable of simultaneously preparing up to 29 EUR-pallets, the robot also manages the automatic supply of empty pallets—ensuring continuous picking with minimal manual intervention.

“This automation guarantees consistent service levels for our customers, regardless of order volume,” said José Piedrafita, Chief Operating Officer at Genebre. “The system’s scalability also ensures we can grow without disrupting operations.”

Ongoing Support Through TGW Lifetime Services

Post-deployment, Genebre benefits from TGW’s Lifetime Services, a comprehensive after-sales support program that includes 24/7 technical assistance, preventive maintenance, and spare parts provisioning. These services are designed to maximize uptime and ensure long-term system performance.

“Genebre’s trust in TGW for their first automation project is a great honor,” added Dominik Keller, Head of Sales at TGW Ibérica.
