This collaboration is set to transform the efficiency and sustainability of tire shipments between Thailand and California.
Streamlining Tire Shipments with Innovative Containers
Under the strategic agreement, Discount Tire will utilize GenFlat’s collapsible containers on a closed-loop shipping route. Tires will be shipped from Thailand to California using the innovative containers, which can then be collapsed after unloading. This design allows four collapsed containers to be stacked in the space of a single container, optimizing shipping space for the return trip to Thailand. The new system is expected to significantly reduce repositioning costs and carbon emissions while enhancing overall logistical efficiency.
