  • Jay Group Opens 250,000-Square-Foot Houston Fulfillment Center, Expanding Nationwide 3PL Network

Jay Group has opened a new 250,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Houston, Texas, expanding the third-party logistics provider’s company-operated network across the East, West and Gulf Coasts.

The new facility at 7677 Pinemont Drive gives Jay Group fulfillment operations in Pennsylvania, Nevada and Texas and expands its ability to position inventory closer to customers across the country.

With Houston added to the network, Jay Group says it can now provide one- to two-day ground delivery to more than 90% of U.S. consumers.

The facility is already operational and has capacity available for both fulfillment customers and companies seeking standalone warehouse storage.

Houston Becomes Jay Group’s Gulf Coast Hub

The new Houston fulfillment center adds a major third region to Jay Group’s distribution network.

The company already operates facilities in Lancaster and Mountville, Pennsylvania, along with a West Coast fulfillment center in Reno, Nevada.

Houston provides a central southern location that can complement those existing facilities while improving access to Texas and surrounding markets.

Across its network, Jay Group now operates just under 1 million square feet of company-operated warehouse and fulfillment space.

For brands using a distributed inventory model, the additional location can help reduce parcel shipping zones by positioning orders closer to customers before they are shipped.

One- to Two-Day Ground Delivery to More Than 90% of U.S. Consumers

The biggest network impact from the Houston expansion is delivery coverage.

Jay Group says its Pennsylvania, Nevada and Texas fulfillment centers now allow brands to reach more than 90% of U.S. consumers within one to two days using ground parcel services.

That provides brands with another way to improve delivery speeds without relying as heavily on premium air services.

    Jay Group's network now includes:

    • Lancaster, Pennsylvania
    • Mountville, Pennsylvania
    • Reno, Nevada
    • Houston, Texas

The multi-node structure can also give brands more flexibility around inventory placement, peak-season demand and regional shipping disruptions.

Port of Houston Adds an Inbound Advantage

Houston also provides Jay Group customers with access to one of the largest port complexes in the United States.

The company is positioning the facility for brands importing products through the Port of Houston, including companies using all-water ocean routes into the Gulf Coast.

Moving imported inventory directly into a Houston fulfillment center can reduce the need to transport containers inland or route everything through traditional West and East Coast gateways.

The location can therefore support both inbound logistics and downstream ecommerce or retail distribution from the same market.

For import-heavy consumer brands, the combination of port access and national parcel coverage could make Houston an increasingly attractive location for inventory positioning.

Target’s New Houston Receive Center Creates Another Retail Distribution Opportunity

Jay Group is also highlighting Houston's growing role in retail distribution.

Target opened its first Receive Center in Houston earlier this year, adding a new type of upstream inventory facility to its supply chain network.

The 1.2 million-square-foot facility receives products directly from vendors and holds inventory until it is needed by downstream Target distribution centers.

For brands selling into Target, maintaining inventory in the Houston market could create additional options for positioning goods closer to that supply-chain infrastructure.

Jay Group says its new facility can support both ecommerce fulfillment and larger retail distribution programs from the same operation.

B2C, B2B and Marketplace Fulfillment Under One Roof

The Houston facility is designed for omnichannel fulfillment rather than a single shipping model.

Jay Group will provide seven-day-a-week B2C and B2B order fulfillment alongside subscription programs, retail distribution and marketplace preparation.

    Services include:

    • Direct-to-consumer fulfillment
    • B2B and retail distribution
    • Subscription box fulfillment
    • Amazon FBA, FBM and SFP preparation
    • Advanced kitting
    • Display assembly
    • Contract packaging
    • Reverse logistics

That combination is designed for consumer brands selling through multiple channels rather than maintaining separate logistics operations for ecommerce, wholesale and retail.

Jay Group has historically focused heavily on beauty, hygiene, nutraceutical and lifestyle brands, categories that often require both direct-to-consumer and retail fulfillment from the same inventory pool.

Manhattan Associates WMS Powers Houston Operations

Warehouse operations at the new facility run on Manhattan Associates warehouse management technology.

Jay Group pairs the WMS with a real-time client portal designed to provide customers with visibility into inventory and fulfillment activity.

The company also offers pre-built integrations with ecommerce and ERP platforms including Shopify, NetSuite, Magento and WooCommerce.

Technology integration has become increasingly important for multi-node 3PL networks as inventory needs to remain synchronized across multiple fulfillment locations while orders are dynamically routed based on destination and availability.

Jay Group also offers discounted parcel programs across national carriers, allowing customers to combine distributed inventory placement with negotiated transportation rates.

    Standalone Warehouse Capacity Available Immediately

The Houston expansion is not limited to companies outsourcing their entire fulfillment operation.

Jay Group is also offering standalone warehouse capacity for brands that need additional storage during 2026 and 2027.

Available configurations include bulk and pallet storage, rack storage, selective shelving, bin and shelf space, cross-docking and buffer inventory.

Companies can use the facility for short-term seasonal requirements, product launches or longer-term contract warehousing without necessarily moving their ecommerce fulfillment to Jay Group.

That flexibility could be particularly useful for companies dealing with excess inventory or preparing additional stock ahead of peak demand.

Jay Group Expands After More Than 60 Years in Fulfillment

Jay Group has operated in fulfillment and logistics for more than 60 years and remains privately owned.

Its facilities are FDA registered, ISO 27001 certified and GMP compliant, supporting customers in industries where inventory handling and compliance requirements can be more complex.

The company specializes in categories including beauty, personal care, hygiene, nutraceuticals and lifestyle products.

Adding Houston gives Jay Group a substantially broader physical footprint while maintaining company-operated facilities rather than relying entirely on partner warehouses.

For brands, that creates a network spanning Pennsylvania, Nevada and Texas with nearly 1 million square feet of total warehouse capacity.

The expansion also reflects a broader shift among 3PLs toward multi-region fulfillment networks capable of combining faster ground delivery with lower parcel costs.

The Houston fulfillment center is open now, with fulfillment and storage capacity currently available.
