NRI, a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider specializing in premium apparel, footwear, and accessories fulfillment, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Geazone Eco-Courier to introduce zero-emission delivery services in the Greater Vancouver area. The initiative represents a significant step in NRI’s ongoing efforts to reduce its environmental impact and promote sustainability within the supply chain.

Zero-Emission Courier Services in Surrey, BC

As part of this collaboration, NRI will begin utilizing zero-emission couriers at its five warehouses in Surrey, British Columbia. This move is a proactive response to the growing concerns about carbon emissions and reflects NRI’s commitment to sustainability. The zero-emission deliveries, powered entirely by electric vehicles, are expected to significantly reduce the company's carbon footprint while meeting the demands of clients seeking more environmentally friendly delivery options.

“This partnership is just the beginning,” said Ryan Dale-Johnson, NRI’s Vice President of Business Development. “We are committed to exploring and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the sustainability, efficiency, and overall impact of our supply chain operations.”

    Geazone's Role in Emission-Free Deliveries

Founded in 2012, Geazone Eco-Courier has been a leader in zero-emission delivery services in British Columbia. The company operates a fleet comprised entirely of electric-powered vehicles and offers a range of services, including final mile, same-day, overnight, distribution, and route deliveries throughout Coastal BC, including Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast, and Whistler.

Andrew Mitchell, CEO of Geazone, expressed excitement about the partnership with NRI: “This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to drive sustainability through innovation. By integrating Geazone’s zero-emission capabilities with NRI’s expertise in apparel, footwear, and accessories fulfillment, we are advancing toward a more responsible and efficient supply chain.”

    A First in Apparel Fulfillment

NRI is proud to be the first apparel-focused fulfillment company to partner with Geazone for end-to-end zero-emission deliveries, addressing client requests for more sustainable delivery options. The introduction of zero-emission courier services is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50-70%, cutting up to 350 grams of CO2 per mile compared to traditional gas-powered vehicles.

Even with a power grid that includes some fossil fuels, all-electric vehicles are significantly more energy-efficient and produce no tailpipe emissions. As renewable energy sources become a larger part of the grid, the environmental benefits of these vehicles will only increase. NRI is optimistic about the future and looks forward to setting new standards in eco-friendly logistics.

This partnership marks a major milestone in NRI’s journey toward creating a more sustainable supply chain while meeting the growing demand for responsible, environmentally conscious solutions.
