  • A new near-shore central kitchen and HPP facility (10,000 lbs/day capacity) will supply up to 50 SpiceX units with strong AUV performance.
  • The expansion reflects a broader trend of regionalized cold-chain logistics, with Americold, Lineage Logistics, and DHL Supply Chain all scaling to meet meal-delivery and QSR demand.
  • Nuty Foods Expands Cold-Chain Hubs to Support GutSpiceX and SpiceX Growth

Nuty Foods LLC has announced major cold-chain expansion plans to support its fast-growing restaurant and meal-delivery brands, SpiceX and GutSpiceX. The Delaware-based company is in advanced discussions with Americold Logistics to establish a national cold-chain distribution network across the U.S. and Canada.

    Expansion Across Key U.S. Hubs

Nuty Foods recently launched its first hub in Long Beach, California, and plans to open three more hubs in Dallas–Fort Worth, Newark, and Tampa. By working with local operators, the network will enable GutSpiceX to reach most major U.S. metros within 1–2 days via refrigerated ground delivery — a critical factor in meal-kit logistics where freshness and speed are essential.

Supporting QSR Growth with Integrated Production

Alongside meal delivery, Nuty Foods is accelerating growth for SpiceX, its quick-service restaurant concept. The company is in talks with franchise managers and private equity investors to build a multi-unit, multi-brand franchisee network. Supporting this expansion, Nuty Foods has launched a near-shore central production kitchen and High Pressure Processing (HPP) facility capable of producing 10,000 lbs per day — enough to supply about 50 SpiceX units with an average unit volume (AUV) of $1.1 million.

    Cold-Chain Industry Trends

Industry analysts say Nuty Foods’ strategy reflects a broader trend toward regionalized cold-chain distribution. Major logistics providers such as Lineage Logistics, Americold, and DHL Supply Chain are all expanding capacity to meet surging demand from grocery e-commerce, meal delivery, and QSR brands. With consumers demanding faster, fresher options, vertically integrated models that link production directly to distribution are increasingly becoming the industry standard.
