RLS Logistics Expands Delanco Cold Storage Facility to Meet Growing Northeast Demand
RLS Logistics, a leading family-owned provider of cold chain 3PL services, is preparing to open the doors to its newly expanded Delanco, New Jersey warehouse. Set to go live later this month, the expansion adds over 6.75 million cubic feet of temperature-controlled storage and approximately 8,000 new pallet positions, enhancing RLS’s ability to meet increasing demand across the Northeast.
Scaling for Growth in the Cold Chain Sector
With this significant capacity increase, RLS strengthens its role as a strategic logistics partner for frozen and refrigerated food manufacturers, importers, and retailers looking for scalable and efficient cold storage and distribution solutions throughout the region.
“This expansion is a testament to our customers' growth and to the commitment of our teams that service them,” said Russell Leo, CEO of RLS Logistics. “We’re thrilled to bring more capacity and efficiency to our network here in Delanco.”
Designed for Efficiency and High Throughput
The upgraded facility includes advanced refrigeration systems, high-density racking, and layout improvements to support large-scale distribution and case-picking operations. Its location—near the Port of Philadelphia and major Northeast markets such as New York City and Baltimore—makes it a prime logistics hub for regional and national cold chain distribution.
“Every square foot of this facility was designed with operational excellence in mind,” said Michael Fischer, Vice President of Cold Storage Operations at RLS.
Investing in Community and Cold Chain Resilience
The expansion will also bring new career opportunities to Burlington County, New Jersey, reflecting RLS’s ongoing commitment to community investment and job creation. It aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy aimed at meeting the evolving needs of the food and beverage industry.
Founded in 1968 and still managed by the Leo family, RLS Logistics offers integrated cold chain solutions including LTL and FTL transportation, temperature-controlled warehousing, and direct-to-consumer fulfillment.
