Spectra, a Columbia, SC-based 3PL and e-commerce fulfillment provider, is entering a new phase of growth as it relocates its Charleston fulfillment center to a larger, more modern facility. This move enhances Spectra’s ability to serve its clients in B2B, e-commerce, warehousing, rework, and other fulfillment projects and services, thanks to increased storage capacity and additional service offerings.

    Strategic Growth and Expansion

The new facility represents a significant step in Spectra’s trajectory of growth. Originally opening its second fulfillment facility in North Charleston near the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Spectra has since provided excellent inventory and warehouse management, kitting, fulfillment, and shipping services. The relocation to the new facility in Charleston continues this expansion while maintaining proximity to the ports of Charleston and major highway routes along the South Carolina coast.

    Increased Storage and Services

Spectra’s new home is a 100,000 square foot facility, allowing for greater storage capacity to accommodate a wide variety of clients. This includes companies needing products readily available to customers year-round and large national corporations requiring marketing and event materials shipped across the United States. The new fulfillment center’s designation as a bonded CFS warehouse offers clients significant value, deferring customs bond fees and duties for up to five years. Additionally, its registration with the US Food & Drug Administration enables Spectra to handle nonperishable food products.

    Integration with South Carolina’s Growth

South Carolina is one of the fastest-growing states in the country, with its population increasing more rapidly in 2023 than any other state. Spectra’s expansion aligns with this growth, providing enhanced capacity and services for current clients and attracting new clients both locally and globally. The leadership team at Spectra is optimistic about the opportunities created by this relocation.

    Commitment to Excellence

Spectra's expertise in inventory and warehouse management allows the company to streamline operations at the new Charleston facility. The level of excellence in their fulfillment and print services is maintained by seasoned experts who utilize new software and technologies to integrate with e-commerce sites, SAP systems, and custom-developed programs. This integration aims to eliminate delays, accelerate projects, and offer clients even more reasons to choose Spectra.
