Texas Logistic & Fulfillment Takes Over Former Amazon Facility in Sugar Land
In a significant reshaping of the Houston-area logistics market, Texas Logistic & Fulfillment has announced its expansion into a 300,000-square-foot facility formerly occupied by Amazon, located at 12900 W Airport Blvd, Sugar Land, TX. The site will be transformed into one of the largest HVAC-enabled third-party logistics (3PL) hubs in the Greater Houston region.
A Climate-Controlled 3PL Powerhouse
The facility’s new operator, Texas Logistic & Fulfillment, plans to leverage the location’s size and strategic position near the Port of Houston to better support the growing demand for temperature-sensitive logistics. This includes goods such as electronics and lithium battery containers, which require climate control and specialized handling.
"This expansion will unlock major service bottlenecks and support the fast-growing demand for climate-controlled logistics," said CEO Omri Shafran. "It also enables us to handle the increasing volume of lithium battery containers flowing into Texas."
New Bonded Capabilities
The company also announced that nearly 100,000 square feet of the site will be developed into bonded warehouse space, enabling more flexible import/export operations. This move positions the facility as a key resource for businesses navigating U.S. Customs regulations.
"Close to 100,000 square feet of the facility will be designated as bonded space," added President Dimitri Menin. "This allows us to offer maximum flexibility for importers and exporters."
Driving Inclusive Economic Growth
In line with its 2025 vision for socially inclusive growth, Texas Logistic & Fulfillment is partnering with Richmond State Supported Living Center (RSSLC), a part of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Under the guidance of Procurement Manager Joby Kottoor, the partnership will provide Texans with disabilities access to logistics employment through tailored kitting and fulfillment programs.
Rapid Growth and Big-Name Clients
Texas Logistic & Fulfillment continues its aggressive growth trajectory — now boasting 50% year-over-year growth. The company already handles logistics for major retailers and brands, including:
With this new site and expanded capabilities, Texas Logistic & Fulfillment is solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing 3PL providers in the Lone Star State.
