WSI Earns Operation Clean Sweep Logistics Certification at Houston-Area Facility

WSI (Warehouse Specialists, LLC) announced that its warehouse operations at a dedicated manufacturing customer facility in the greater Houston area have earned Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) Logistics Certification, marking a notable milestone for third-party logistics providers operating in chemical and manufacturing environments.

The certification verifies that more than 25 required management practices designed to prevent plastic resin loss have been fully implemented and audited. According to the announcement, WSI passed the independent audit with no deficiencies, underscoring its operational controls and environmental safeguards within a customer-operated facility.

Extending Environmental Accountability Beyond Manufacturing

The OCS Logistics Certification program was launched in January 2025 by the Plastics Industry Association in partnership with the American Chemistry Council. While Operation Clean Sweep has traditionally focused on manufacturing sites, the logistics verification framework extends accountability to warehouses and 3PLs that handle plastic resins and related materials throughout the supply chain.

For logistics providers, the certification signals a growing expectation from manufacturers that their partners meet the same environmental and safety standards as production facilities, even when operating inside customer-owned sites.
