Expect a mix of storage (per pallet or m2), receiving/putaway, pick-and-pack per order or per piece, outbound shaping and consolidation fees, value-added service charges (kitting, labeling), account management and minimum monthly fees. Include fuel surcharges, accessorials, and clear chargeback terms to model total landed cost.

Transit relies on regional trucking to larger hubs; expect multi-day transit to major metropolitan centres. Many providers use interline connections at transload hubs to access national parcel and LTL networks. Factor seasonal weather and first/last-mile options into promised delivery windows and safety stock strategies.

Require a WMS with API and/or EDI connectivity to your OMS, real-time inventory visibility, automated order routing, and standardized reporting on pick accuracy, lead times, inventory turnover and exception handling.
