Expect pricing components such as space (per pallet or per CBM), handling (inbound receiving and putaway), pick/pack fees (per order or per SKU), outbound freight and fuel surcharges, and value‑added services (kitting, returns). Minimums, billing cycles, and seasonal surcharges also affect total landed logistics cost.

Many local 3PLs coordinate cross‑border trucking and customs clearance. Confirm the provider has freight forwarder relationships, documented export/import processes, bonded movement or transit options, and experience preparing invoices, packing lists, and permits required for cross‑border compliance.

Require a WMS with real‑time inventory control and API connectivity, secure racking with defined storage density, designated returns and QC areas, packing and labeling stations, SLA monitoring and reporting, and contingency plans for labor and transport disruptions.
