Require a modern WMS with API/EDI connectivity, real-time inventory visibility, carrier rate shopping, automated pick/pack workflows, returns management, and reporting dashboards. Confirm integration testing with your order platform and SLA monitoring tools prior to go-live.

Evaluate lower property and labour costs versus potentially higher trunking and longer haul times to major ports. Model total landed cost including pallet drayage, safety stock requirements, inventory carrying costs, and any premium for expedited transport during peaks.
