All of our modern warehouse buildings are constructed of precast concrete and steel, with over 2.9 million square feet of space, enough to meet both expanding and peak storage requirements. Public warehousing at W. T. Young Storage enhances your flexibility with the space to accommodate seasonal and cyclical inventory build-up, as well as emergency or unexpected inventory surges, while eliminating the capital costs associated with building and owning your own warehouse space and avoiding long-term commitments. All warehouse space is completely protected by sprinklers as well as by automatic fire and security alarm systems. The sprinklers are supplied by two water sources, giving you the lowest possible insurance rates and an unlimited insurable valuation for warehoused goods. Our customers can choose either dry storage areas or refrigerated space for perishable goods. Grocery and food products are further protected by our extensive sanitation control program. With clear ceiling heights from twenty-one to thirty-two feet, our storage facilities are designed to maximize usable storage space and permit ready access to stored goods. Over 300 truck doors equipped with automatic dock boards and a large fleet of fork trucks with special material handling attachments, including paper roll clamps, “pull-paks,” and rectangular carton clamps, facilitate the loading and unloading of many types of product packages. All buildings are served by truck, and one is also served by rail.
