Top 10 3PL Warehouse Companies in: Bemidji

The 2026 Definitive Guide

Choosing a 3PL provider in Bemidji is a strategic decision to place fulfillment where northern Minnesota supply flows meet regional transport lanes, giving brands compact facility options and lower occupancy costs than large metros. Local providers are often experienced with seasonal demand cycles, reverse logistics, and omnichannel pick-and-pack. Bemidji supports consolidation and zone-skipping strategies to lower per-package costs and provides access to carrier lanes serving the Twin Cities and the Upper Midwest.

When selecting a partner, prioritize WMS/API integration, carrier relationships, transit-time maps, and cost-to-serve analysis to align fulfillment performance with margin and service goals.

CWS Logistics Ltd

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

It was 1997 when CWS Logistics Ltd. began as a warehouse and packaging facility focusing on the distribution of crop protection products and seed in Western Canada. We started in Regina, Saskatchewan, and from there delivered excellent customer service and dependability. Our warehouse space doubled in 1998 to better accommodate our growing client base. We continued to grow adding AWSA warehouses in Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg. It was at this time that we added a fertilizer trans-load facility in Belle Plaine Saskatchewan. In 2003 the CWS head office was established in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our trailer fleet expanded to include Tridem dry vans, and by 2005 we had over 100 trailers in our fleet. It was at this time that we began operating our first turnpike trailer configuration between Regina and Winnipeg. In 2006, CWS purchased a new warehouse and packaging facility in Regina. We had now survived and flourished for ten years of operation. In 2011, CWS completed construction of a brand new facility in Saskatoon. Our footprint grew again in 2013 with the purchase of an additional facility in Winnipeg and a new warehouse space in Calgary. 2013 proved to be a busy year as we completed our state of the art packaging facility and warehouse in Regina. As an organization, CWS Logistics now exceeds 800,000 ft² of operational space and operates 75 highway tractors and 200 trailers. As an established yet ever-growing company, CWS provides complete logistical services to multi-national, publicly traded and privately held companies. We are proud to say that we are the largest privately held, asset based 3PL in Western Canada.

Require clear SLAs for order accuracy and transit times, real-time inventory visibility via WMS/API, scalable labor plans for peak seasons, pick-and-pack throughput metrics, returns processing workflows, and carrier performance reporting. A Bemidji location reduces last-mile distance to regional northern routes and supports efficient ground coverage into the Upper Midwest. Evaluate each 3PL’s carrier contracts and LTL/parcel lane density; regional hubs offer consolidation and zone-skipping that can lower per-package costs even if linehaul distances increase versus metro warehouses.

Prioritize dock capacity and trailer staging, racking and pallet flow for case-pick efficiency, dedicated B2B packing lanes, cross-dock capabilities, quality control areas, and systems integration (EDI/API). Also verify reverse logistics, batch/lot tracking, and temperature-controlled options if products require them.

Model cost-to-serve including land, labor, and storage rates; inbound and outbound transportation costs; parcel zone impacts; inventory days and safety stock; and value-added fees. Consider carrier discounts the 3PL can negotiate and potential savings from consolidation or zone-skipping versus slightly longer linehaul distances.
