UCW Logistics is a family-owned company that operates through a parent company, Union Service Industries, Inc. Founded in 1925 as Chattanooga Cotton Compress Company, its purpose was to acquire cotton compressing and warehousing facilities. The present name, Union Service Industries, Inc., was adopted in 1969. UCW Logistics was created under Union Service Industries, Inc., in 2013 to serve the company’s existing cotton warehousing customers and to capture the significant amount of freight spend that passes through our dock doors every year. The goal was to assist customers in handling movement of freight in a scalable, cost-effective manner.
