After retiring from a career in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1979, W.F. (Bill) Hay founded a transportation consulting firm known as San Diego Traffic Services. In 1992, the company was renamed Bill Hay International. From the very beginning Bill realized that there was a tremendous business opportunity moving freight into and out of Mexico. He set out to develop this niche as the main focus of Bill Hay International. Manufacturers, distributors, freight forwarders, transportation brokers, and trucking companies call on us for logistics solutions to and from Mexico. Mr. Hay has since retired, but his passion in transborder logistics, trade, and quality customer service is carried on by the staff of the company that continues to bear his name. Bill Hay International has been a member in the Transportation Intermediaries Association, or TIA, since 1983. We are also members of the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce and the San Diego World Trade Center,We are licensed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Because of the hard work of Mr. Hay and all our staff, many manufacturers, shippers, third party logistics companies, and carriers refer to us as their “Mexican Connection”.
