The president of CTL, Jeffrey L. Covert Sr. is second generation in the field. He worked under his father Kenneth R. Covert. Sr. a 40 year veteran in the Transportation Industry. Ken started out working for Specter Freight and moving onto Consolidated Freightways, becoming their East Coast Division Manager based in Newark, NJ. Ken eventually opened, Leemar Transport which he successfully operated for 15 years until his untimely passing. Jeff grew up in the industry, starting at an early age. He was able to gain the knowledge to successfully open his own company. Jeflee Transportation in 1983. He was able to build Jeflee over the next 17 years to become a multi million dollar a year company. In 2001, Jeff renamed the company from Jeflee to what it is currently known as, Covert Transportation Logistics, LLC. Over the last 20 years CTL has grown tremendously and has earned an excellent reputation for outstanding service that is second to none. The Covert Transportation Logistics (CTL) staff has over 100 years of combined experience in the industry. We have built a network of Customers and Drivers that enable us to efficiently move your freight anywhere in the North American Continent and the most competitive pricing available, while providing delivery times faster than most. We base the pricing off of Origin/Destination/Linear Footage and Weight. Most of our fright is load to ride. This moves your freight in the timeliest manor and reduces damages and claims. CTL is a family owned company that offers long term partnerships with our customers and drivers.
