Our company gets the name K-5 as a tip-of-the-hat to our commitment to our customers. At the time our campus had four buildings, K-1 through K-4, we got a call from a great customer with a dilemma. We agreed to help them and leased a building explicitly to solve their problem. That commitment represents who we are, and what we do for our partners. There have been more customers and more “K-5’s” but we’ve never raised the number. That willingness to commit to solving our partners’ challenges is the spirit of K-5, and the essence of our name. K-5 was formed to support the diverse supply chain needs of Colonial’s customers. We service highly demanding, brand name manufacturers and retailers; Names you know, and brands you trust.
