About - Matthews Transport

Matthews Transport was first developed in 1977 by husband and wife team Jim and Megan Matthews, based in a small unit with just one vehicle and offering a 24hr service nationwide. Since then, the Company has grown on the strength of its reputation, following a move in 1992 to a larger, wholly owned premises, with 45,000 sq. feet of warehousing. The 2 acre site is well situated in North Manchester within 1 mile of the M60 motorway. Strengthening the fleet to deal with the increasing demand for their services enabled them to maintain a carefully planned operation and to be competitively priced. The business is now run by their two sons, Stephen and Jason who have experience in all aspects of the transport and warehousing industry. Customers range from small local businesses to Blue Chip companies, all of which are provided with the same level of service regardless of size or profile.
