Warehouse logistics and e-commerce fulfillment have never been so easy

Relay was founded in 1996 as a textile warehousing service provider in Bad Urach, Baden-Württemberg. Prior to founding Relay, Ralph Liebzeit worked as a logistics and department manager for well-known fashion companies. Influenced by his own experiences with service providers—and a further five years as a logistics and organizational consultant—he knew that more than simple warehousing and order picking was needed. This led Relay to offer additional services such as quality control, repairs, and refurbishment. It began with handling hanging garments for S.Oliver, and by the end of 1996, a prominent company from Metzingen had already signed on. Relay quickly became a fulfillment center for established fashion brands, and interest in its services grew. In addition to the Metzingen companies, other clients included Einhorn, Mauritius Leatherwear, Erima, Norrona, Marc Cain, Strellson, Mey, and many more. Most of these clients remain close and valued partners of Relay to this day. With its move to more modern premises in Pfullingen in 2017, the company reduced its pure warehouse space but has since offered new opportunities and services to its customers. The company's target group consists primarily of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups that are not only looking for warehouse space but also for a professional partner for their supply chain and online shop activities. In addition to its long-standing partners in the fashion industry, more and more customers from other sectors have joined over the years. These include accessories, beauty and hygiene products, superfoods, wine, spirits, bicycle locks, 3D maps, and much more. Today, Relay is a service provider for the fashion and light goods industries, handling almost all tasks in-house with expertise and a customer-centric approach. Furthermore, Relay no longer only supplies specialist retailers, wholesalers, and mail-order companies but also end consumers through various online shops.
