Description
The Terminal Warehouse Company was founded in 1893 by the North Central Railroad. Our first warehouse, appropriately named the Hay Shed, was constructed to support the export of hay delivered from farms along the Susquehanna River via the railroad and moved on horse-drawn ”drays” to the port. Our need for warehouses expanded and we opened the Flour House, Stores House and Bond Street Wharf in Fells Point.
