The journey of UB Freight began in May 2001 in a garage in South Auckland. Having recently immigrated from Fiji the original UB team used their connections in the freight industry to negotiate wholesale airfreight rates normally reserved for business customers only. They then passed these rates on to friends and family to helping them to send goods and gifts back home to Fiji. Hence the name UB standing for Unaccompanied Baggage. From these humble beginnings and with hard work and entrepreneurial skills, UB Freight has grown to the successful operation it is today with 100 staff members spread across New Zealand and Fiji working out of our purpose-built warehouses, truck and vehicle fleet as well as our presence in Samoa, Australia, China and agents in another 190 countries. With this success you will still find the team taking the time to help personal customers with their shipments, making sure everyone gets the same level of service big or small.
